Cataplexy

Cataplexy

Cataplexy involves a sudden loss of muscle tone and is generally precipitated by a sudden emotional response. Episodes of sudden bilateral loss of muscle tone resulting in the individual collapsing often occur in association with intense emotions such as laughter anger fear or surprise.
