Service Satisfaction Scale (SSS)

Service Satisfaction Scale (SSS) (Bickman et al., 2010) . The SSS is a 5-item measure that assesses youth and caregiver satisfaction with treatment. Four items are rated on a 4-point Likert scale ranging from one (“No, definitely not”) to four (“Yes, definitely”). The last item is a free-response question, asking for other comments about the service the family received. In terms of cut-off scores, if the total score falls below 3.25 (for caregivers) or three (for youth), service satisfaction is considered low.

Caregiver Strain Questionnaire, Short Form 7 CGSQ-SF7

Caregiver Strain Questionnaire, Short Form 7 CGSQ-SF7 Bickman et al., 2010 The CGSQ-SF7 is a 7-item measure that assesses additional demands, pressures, and responsibilities in families with youths suffering from behavioural or emotional disorders (Riemer & Kearns, 2010).  Items are rated on a scale from one (“Not at all”) to five (“Very much”). The total score ranges from two to ten. A total score greater than seven is high, while a score less than 3.8 is considered low.

The SWLS is rated on an 8-point Likert scale with scores ranging from one (“Strongly Disagree”) to seven (“Strongly Agree”). For the SWLS Total Score, a score greater than 5.6 is high, while a score less than 3.4 is low.

Children’s Hope Scale (CHS-PTPB)

All items are rated on a six-point Likert scale ranging from one (“None of the Time”) to six (“All the Time”). A total score of greater than five is high, while a score less than three is considered low.

Brief Multidimensional Student’s Life Satisfaction Scale (BMSLSS-PTPB) Seligson, Huebner, & Valois, 2003 The BMSLSS-PTPB is a 6-item measure designed to assess global life satisfaction, satisfaction with family, friends, school, self, and living situation. Each item is rated on a 5-point Likert scale ranging from one (“Very Dissatisfied”) to five (“Very Satisfied”). A total score of greater than 4.5 is considered high, while a score less than 3.3 is considered low.

Treatment Outcome Measures

Treatment Outcome Measures Symptoms and Functioning Severity Scale (SFSS) Bickman et al., 2010 The SFSS is the core measure of treatment progress. This measure assesses general symptom severity and assesses symptoms associated with the most common youth mental health disorders (i.e., ADHD, conduct disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, depression, and anxiety). Each item is rated on a 5-point Likert Scale (“never,” “hardly ever,” “sometimes,” “often,” and “very often”). The SFSS provides a total score, externalizing score, and internalizing score. Three versions are available: youth, caregiver, and clinician. There is also a 26-item version (SFSS-Full), and two 13-14 item versions (SFSS Short Form A; Short Form B).  Short-form A and B are meant to be used in alternating sessions. The SFSS is designed to measure changes between brief time periods (i.e., weekly or biweekly sessions).
