Penn State Worry Questionnaire for Children (PSWQ-C) Chorpita, Tracey, Brown, Collica, & Barlow, 1997 The PSWQ-C is a 16-item self-report measure assessing worry in youths ages 7-17. The PSWQ-C is a changed version of the Penn State Worry Questionnaire for adults (PSWQ; Meyer, Miller, Metzger, & Borkovec, 1990). The PSWQ-C can be used as a screening tool. Sample items include: “My worries really bother me” and “I’ve been a worrier all my life.” Each item is rated on a 4-point Likert scale from zero (“never true”) to items (“always true”). This measure was designed to be administered in five minutes. In both community and clinical samples, the PSWQ-C shows well to excellent internal consistency (α =.89-.91) .
